I used Oxys for about 1.5 years, then quit the insanity and went to a methadone clinic. I read the earlier posts about methadone detoxing and fully agree that it's a wiser choice than street drugs (if you get it from a clinic). My last dose was 25 mg on 6/28, after being tapered from 60mg (over months). Then I went in for 7 days, where they detoxed me using Clonapine (sp,?)patch, Darvon, and Librium. The nurses told me that for every year of use, expect a month of recovery. So that's what I know. Now, here's my question: Of course, I'm going through killer WDs. Sweats, chills, shakes, bone pains, TERRIBLE anxiety... does anyone know if it's OK to take Darvocet? I looked up the chemical make-up and it's an analgesic... no "codone" in it's make-up. I took a 100/650 yesterday, and while it didn't take the pain away, it made life livable (at least I could watch TV). Please let me know, I don't want to prolong WD or be cursed with the dreaded relapse!
